Chicago River Swim

History will be made on September 22, 2024, when the first open water swim in nearly 100 years will be held in the Chicago River!

The inaugural Chicago River Swim will offer 500 participants a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to swim among Chicago’s iconic skyscrapers and under its historic bridges.

Due to anticipated demand, a special application process is now open to qualified individuals. Applications remain open through April, with participant selection held in early May. Click below for full details.
