Announcing 2019 Summer Swim Series for Triathletes and Open Water Swimmers

A Long Swim announces the 2019 Summer Swim Series with two open water swim events with professionally timed distances of 750 meters, 1,500 meters, 2.4 miles and 5K. This is the perfect opportunity for triathletes and open water swimmers to guage their training under race conditions.

The 1st in the series is in Lake Zurich, Illinois on Sunday, June 2 at Paulus Park. Lake Zurich is a private residential lake with pristine water. Learn more and register here.

The 2nd in the series is in Winnetka, Illinois on Sunday, August 4 at Tower Road Beach. Tower Road Beach is on beautiful Lake Michigan surrounded by private homes.  Learn more and register here.

Each A Long Swim is well stocked with safety personnel and lifeguards.  There is also a DJ to provide inspirating music as well as announcements and finishing information. Our unique vendor village includes Jolyn Clothing and Swimsuits, Zoggs Goggles, and Infinit Nutrition.

A Long Swim is a series of open water swimming events benefiting ALS research.  These swims are designed for triathletes and open water swimmers, are professionally timed, and led by English Channel Swimmer, Doug McConnell.
