A Long Swim event on Lake Michigan

1,500 meters, 1.2 miles, 2.4 miles, 5K open water swim timed and under race conditions with lifeguards in kayaks surrounding the course

swimming 5k Lake MichiganThe weather conditions for the A Long Swim – Tower Road Beach – Lake Michigan – Winnetka Event on Sunday, August 5 were perfect. Air temps were 75-85, water temps in the low 70’s, zero rain. The wind was projected to be 5-10 knots from the southwest, which should lead to minimal waves. And the turnout was great!
